Their performance of Jay's haunting composition Ashokan Farewell — the musical hallmark of the PBS series — earned the couple international acclaim. The soundtrack won a Grammy and Ashokan Farewell — originally inspired by Jay & Molly's annual fiddle and dance camps — was nominated for an Emmy.

Peter Davis

Of the scores of musicians billed as "versatile," Peter Davis may be most deserving of the accolade. Proficient on an astonishing variety of instruments, including clarinet, alto sax, 5-string & tenor banjo, piano, guitar, mandolin and whistle, Peter boasts an intuitive approach to all manner of traditional folk, blues, vintage pop and jazz forms. He currently plays with at least seven bands doing all kinds of gigs, from the ridiculous to the sublime, including concerts, festivals, schools, racetracks, weddings and private parties of all kinds.

Sam Zucchini

Sam loves to sing and play his drums twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. He's studied jazz music, finding it to be a worthy challenge and very inspirational. He has played in a variety of musical settings: orchestras, jazz combos, and big bands,folk acts and rock bands. He also plays guitar. One of his many favorite foods is pasta and beans smothered with a colorful selection of fresh vegetables. He enjoys reading almost as much as he does dreaming. And, he believes everyone needs a good eight hours of sleep.

Dave is a talented multi-instrumentalist, singer, arranger, songwriter and teacher from Ithaca, NY. His work in a multitude of musical styles has brought him to venues all around the USA, Central America and Europe. At home on the trombone, guitar and upright and electric bass, you may also find him playing the tuba, ukelele or drums. He's been a solid member of the Northeast music scene for 25 years.
